I started drinking water to kick the soda habit. To start I drank flavored sparkling water, the pop and fizz helped get over the soda urge. I never really liked the chemical aftertaste of the added flavors and this was one of the additives I was trying to get away from. One day I had a cold with a plugged nose and could not taste the added flavor in the water. It occurred to me that I was not tasting the flavor but rather smelling it in the water. I tried drinking water while holding different aromas under my nose and discovered the power of aroma on our perception of flavor. I then created a way to produce low cost labels that can be attached to any beverage and any container to add flavor.
