About Marvin’s Authentic D.C. Style Mambo Sauce

MARVIN’S MAMBO SAUCE Welcome to a flavor that sits apart from all the rest. Marvin’s Authentic D.C. Style Mambo Sauce is a growing brand in the DMV. Featured in 160 Giant Food grocery stores since March of 2022. We are also in 77 Food Lion grocery stores. Mambo Sauce is a cross between BBQ and sweet & sour. It was introduced to DMV residents in the 1960’s via small carryout restaurants. Throughout the years, Mambo’s popularity from homemade Mambo at the family dinner table, and carryout restaurants have, encouraged some entrepreneurial companies to bring it to market. We are one of those companies. We began making and selling our own Mambo Sauce recipe in our Starvin Marvin Pizza restaurant in 2015 at our Frederick, MD location. And now we are on supermarket shelves! The words “tastes great on everything” has become somewhat of a cliche in the food industry. But when it comes to Marvin’s Mambo Sauce, that cliche holds so much truth. From ribs, pork chops, French fries and especially chicken wings, our sauce does TASTE GREAT ON EVERYTHING! Read their story
