About Centro Sur

CENTRO SUR S.C.A. is the short story of the passion of a group of people from a town, Huétor Tájar, for the most traditional products of Andalusian Las Vegas. Already in the 1960s, a group of farmers met to jointly market the precious asparagus. The marketing was carried out in small vans and line buses to other autonomous communities, especially Catalonia, where there were an abundance of migrants from Huete and Granada who were knowledgeable about the product. After these hard beginnings, the first cooperative societies were established in the mid-1970s, including Centro Sur S.C.A., which allowed farmers to improve the production of the product and its commercialization. Since its establishment in 1977, where the cooperative began with 38 members, the company has managed to grow incessantly. It currently has more than 1200 members, as a result of a permanent commitment to quality and service, accompanied by the know-how of more than 40 years of experience and professionalism in the sector, enjoying recognized international prestige.
