All of our salt comes from our family farm on the island of Imjado in South Korea, where we harvest salt from the sea using only the power of the sun. Our farm was started in 1949 by my great-grandfather who saw land rich in potential in people without hope after 40 years of occupation. He made the villagers an offer: if they donated the land to make salt farms, he would build the farm and they would own half. Our partnership, which still exists today, paved the way for churches, roads and schools on the island. For four generations, our salt has been used for kimchi and Korean cooking and now we are bringing it to you.
