About MAISON 89

Welcome to our colorful and radiant world. Maison 89 is the story of a meeting between two creators passionate about sewing: Julie, designer of exclusive fabrics at Avril Fabrics, and Loren, designer of sewing patterns at Auguste and June. After a little over a year of collaboration and sharing, projects were born. The idea of working together by combining our skills, complementarity and creativity in service of a larger project took shape: Maison 89 was launched. Loren, pattern maker and founder of the sewing pattern brand Auguste and June Born in 1989, she discovered sewing at the age of 9 alongside her cousin who sold fabrics. Sewing has always accompanied her alongside a professional career in healthcare, until a career change in 2021 to become a seamstress and pattern maker. Following her training and obtaining her CAP in sewing, she created her sewing pattern brand Auguste & June. A brand that makes it accessible for everyone to sew their own wardrobe. Julie, textile designer and creator of the exclusive fabric brand Avril Fabrics Born in 1989, adopted by Toulouse, a mother who is a pattern maker, and holding a BTS in product design, she has been surrounded by sewing since childhood. Passionate about textiles and especially knit fabrics, she decided to create her own fabrics and launched her online shop in April 2020: avrilfabrics.com.Read their story
