The Melanated Bar was born from a deeply personal place. After experiencing postpartum depression, I found myself in a cycle I couldn't escape. With two young daughters and limited resources—no babysitter, no extra money for fancy self-care treatments—I realized that my journey to feeling better had to start with something accessible: my own body. As I began researching the products in my bathroom, I was shocked by the harmful ingredients in everyday skincare. Determined to create something better for myself, I started mixing my own products and soon saw a change, not just in my skin but in how I felt. My goal with The Melanated Bar is to provide non-toxic skincare products that melanated people can trust and love, so they too can start their self-care journey from a place of empowerment.Read their story
