About Nerdy Bae

Founded in 2019 by artist/project manager Kadiatou Coulibaly, Nerdy Bae’s purpose is to serve as a bridge between blackness and africanness. By merging nerd culture and elements of a variety of African cultures, Nerdy Bae creates safe spaces for Black people around the world to connect, converse and establish a shared-experience to advance culture. Our mission is to unify blerd cultures by promoting nourishing conversation and genuine connection through storytelling, art, nerd culture and events. Our pins tell unique stories that represent the intersection of blackness and africanness as a way to advance culture and create a bridge between the Black and African diasporas. Read their story
