About IDIS

I believe in beauty as a way of life, a dance with existence that allows the expression of our unique offering to the world – through the depths and richness of our individual way of being. As a young girl, I would go to my grandmother’s house with piles of fabric to create the clothes I couldn’t find in the shops. Lucky for me, my grandmother was a highly skilled dressmaker and as you can imagine, all of my wildest visions were made possible. She now says I am living her dream as a creator. IDIS was born in 2010 with a passion for travel, culture and an innate desire to be on the open road. Inspired by the storytellers, the free spirits, the lovers and the dreamers, the past, the future, and the bewildering textures in the decay of life – IDIS finds beauty in the connection of all things. Finding freedom in movement and a relaxed simplicity in your clothing is principle at IDIS and a high priority when pattern making. Our designs are created to compliment the female / male form, accentuating all the right bits, bringing comfort and functionality, while maintaining a simple elegance.
