Welcome to the wonderful world of embroidery with Blackbird & Bloom! Hi, I’m Rebecca, a modern embroidery artist and designer from the east coast of Scotland, currently based in Dunfermline. I create DIY embroidery kits and accessories as well as custom and bespoke artworks. During lockdown 2020 I was looking for a new creative project and craft I could learn to keep me busy and help with my mental health. It needed to be something I could easily do from my sofa, as I didn’t have the space for jewellery tools. So I took up embroidery! Embroidery is a very therapeutic practice and has allowed me to embrace my creativity again, creating pieces of art for friends and family, and now giving me the opportunity to share this with others through my DIY kits, patterns and guides. My work centres around flora and fauna designs with a focus on mindfulness, and I'm excited to share my passion for this craft with you and your customers.
