JamilaWorks has been providing beautifully preserved floral arrangements to the community since 2021. The Specialty Florist, Jamila Young, is the artist visionary behind each unique piece. "My passion for nature and flowers began early with much time spent on my family farm. Floral preservation became an expert skill of mine after losing my Father to gun violence during my senior year of high school. Sunflowers became a connecting pathway for me to my Father. A few years after his passing, I grew a small patch of sunflowers, paying homage to him and creating a space that served as a continuous connection pathway. 'Jammie,' the name of my first and tallest bloom, was perfect. I desperately wanted to keep it forever. Thus igniting a passion for preserving life in flowers. JamilaWorks has grown into a beloved local institution, and I take great pride in repurposing flowers from those special moments and transforming them into timeless 'Beautiful Works' of art."Read their story
