About Dokb Studio

After over a decade working as a Product Designer, I found myself burned out and disconnected from the creativity that once drove me. A layoff gave me the unexpected gift of time—to pause, reflect, and rethink what I truly wanted. That’s when Dokb Studio, a long-time dream of mine, finally had the chance to come to life. It all started with a simple t-shirt design I created for my daughter and me. In May 2021, during AAPI Heritage Month and at a time when anti-Asian hate was rising, I launched a small fundraiser selling “Asian Girl Power” shirts. I donated all proceeds to a nonprofit supporting our community. What I thought would be a one-time project turned into something much more. The response was incredible—and deeply moving. That moment reminded me how powerful creativity can be, not just for self-expression but for building community and sparking change. From there, Dokb Studio began to grow, driven by a mission to celebrate culture, identity, and Asian American voices through bold, playful designs.Read their story
