About moo dog chews

Both me and my friend hail from Nepal, the birthplace of the traditional Himalayan style chews, known as churpi, which have been crafted for centuries. We met during our undergraduate years in New Jersey and quickly became close friends. Both of us pursued careers as Software and Machine Learning engineers. The idea for Moo Dog Chews sparked when my then-girlfriend, now my wife, expressed frustration with the quality of exported chews available for her three dogs. Inspired by my friend's grandmother's recipe for churpi, we decided to create a new version using milk and apple cider vinegar instead of lime, which is gentler on dogs' stomachs. At that time, John was living in Colorado. We reunited there and began experimenting with recipes in his garage. After sharing samples with our neighbors and friends, we received overwhelmingly positive feedback. This encouraged us to take the plunge and make it official. We rented a factory in Iowa and invested our life savings into perfecting our recipe and operations.
