Om Mamah was born from one woman’s journey of curiosity, resilience, and heartfelt purpose. From a young age, our founder Aparna was fueled by a love for learning and a desire to make meaningful impact. After excelling academically and completing her Master’s in Electrical Engineering at USC as the Most Outstanding Student, she built a successful career at Meta, Cisco, and Intel. Yet, even as her professional life thrived, a deeper calling emerged—one rooted in her lifelong connection to beauty, wellness, and authenticity. Raised in a home where Ayurveda was a way of life, Aparna’s earliest rituals came from her grandmother’s wisdom: simple, natural remedies from the kitchen and garden. In her twenties, she explored luxury beauty, but motherhood reshaped her priorities. Seeking simplicity and safety, she was shocked to find harmful chemicals hidden even in “natural” products. Driven by love for her child, she returned to Ayurveda—rediscovering remedies like millets and lentils for baby food, scalp massages for hair health, and handcrafted soaps for daily care. Sharing these traditions with other mothers, she saw how modern families longed for trustworthy, effective, and uncomplicated care.
