The CFTS story began over 20 years ago when Dedra Faine, an event designer, and producer, moved from Virginia to New Orleans and was embraced by an abundance of hospitality and their innate ability to share their beautiful hosting traditions via food, family, culture, gorgeous design, inclusive spirits, and love of having a good time. Dedra wanted to reciprocate the gracious hospitality that was given to her by telling her story as a Virginian, by sharing her love of creating beautiful tablescapes, and hosting in her home, with personal inspirations from family traditions, where she has journeyed, and her personal design style. This inspired her first book, Celebrations from the Soul, An Inspirational Sourcebook for Personal Entertaining. This coffee table book features she and her then eight year old daughter, who continues to be by her side as a mother and daughter team. Fast forward fifteen years, the mother and daughter duo has created a collection of candles under the Celebrations from the Soul (CFTS) brand to inspire and bring beautiful scents to your space. Dedra says, “What I have come to know, if I want a home space that is of love, kindness and goodwill, I must focus on my HEART by practicing daily routines that nurture and infuse my soul with joy, peace and love.” Each candle was birthed with the idea to be an olive branch to your soul, to meet each consumer where they are, with special scents and themes to lift, encourage, inspire, and bring peace.
