We are a mission-driven small business featuring fun handmade hair accessories and scarves made with natural materials. We are a small but mighty team working with artisan partners in Pakistan and with Texas-based small businesses, nonprofits and freelancers. In 2024, we are proudly launching blockprinted hair accessories, which will be sewn by refugee women in Dallas, through a local nonprofit, Vickery Trading Company. We have been featured in these publications: Dallas CultureMap, Worth Magazine, Dallas Morning News, and CBS Texas. Let us help your boutique carry fun and gorgeous hair accessories for all occasions - baby showers, family gatherings, work, vacation. We can take orders of up to 75 units at one time. Lead time is 2-3 months from the date of order. Customization available. This shop was founded by Munira Syeda, who was born in Pakistan, and grew up in Saudi Arabia and California. She moved to Texas after getting married in 2012. Munira's professional background is in communications and PR. During the pandemic, she wanted to do more with her life, and took a leap of faith and started Chic & Gold. There has been a lot of exciting and many times painful on-the-job learning.
