About Squishy Circuits

Inspired by a desire to make electronics accessible and engaging for learners of all ages, AnnMarie Thomas, a professor and director of the Playful Learning Lab at the University of St. Thomas, collaborated with her student, Sam Johnson. Together, they envisioned a hands-on, sensory experience that would demystify the complexities of circuitry. The magic begins with conductive and insulating doughs, offering a tangible and playful medium for understanding electrical concepts. AnnMarie brainchild empowers children and learners to sculpt their own creations while exploring fundamental principles of electricity and circuit design. Driven by the belief that learning should be a joyful adventure, Squishy Circuits has grown from a classroom experiment to a globally embraced educational tool.
