About Bella Frye
At Bella Frye, every piece begins with a whisper from the past—soft echoes of forgotten parlors, timeworn journals, and sunlight filtering through lace curtains. We are curators of nostalgia, reviving the romance of vintage through original art and ornate, distressed frames that carry the gentle wear of memory.

These are great bang for the buck. Fulfillment was super fast, the frames are great and so is the art. The problem is the canvas frame is deeper than the actual frame so it sticks out the back about 1/2 an inch so you can pretty easily see the canvas from the side. BUT its a great value and i would buy again.

Thanks for feedback. Customer is viewing protrusion as an issue. So, the 4 star for quality we see as 5 star - stretched canvas is an elevated approach. I assume Walmart and the POD companies sourced by China have nice paper and faux wood frames that look great and don't protrude from the rear of the wall. We use cotton canvas stretched with wood stretcher bars. - They’re the stretcher bars. A canvas is fabric pulled tight over a wooden frame (the “stretcher”). Those bars are supposed to be visible from the back—they keep the canvas flat and taut. -Industry standard. Museums and frame shops expect exposed stretcher/brace wood on the back of stretched canvases and floater-framed canvases. It's like going to a nice restaurant and giving it 4 stars because the napkins were cloth and not regular paper. —Bella Frye • Aug 29, 2025
