About Scandinative

Scandinative is a queer woman–owned creative studio founded in 2016 by Pacific Northwest artist Vada Morrison and based in Chelan, Washington. What started as a creative outlet has grown into a full-time studio creating art prints, paper goods, and small gifts, alongside photography, graphic design, and marketing work. I went full-time in 2025 after years of building this business through markets, collaborations, and a lot of figuring-it-out. My work is playful, colorful, and intentionally cozy, but it isn’t accidental. I grew up fast, learned early how to stand on my own, and found comfort and clarity through making things. Art has always been how I made sense of the world, how I connected with others, and how I carved out joy even when things were messy. Today, Scandinative is about choosing brightness without being naive, softness without being fragile, and humor without losing heart. Everything you see is illustrated and designed by me, with the goal of making people feel seen, comforted, and a little delighted. This work is for the girls, gays, and theys, for thoughtful gift-givers, and for anyone who likes their art warm, well-made, and full of personality.Read their story
