About Lofoten Seaweed

Angelita grew up cutting cod tongues and baiting long lines for her fisherman father in the village of Napp. Tamara grew up in New Zealand, where her Japanese mother used seaweed in almost every meal. United by a love of food and the ocean, Tamara and Angelita are passionate about bringing seaweed into the modern kitchen. We hand-harvest wild seaweed directly from some of the purest, cleanest, most nutrient-rich waters on the planet. We dry, smoke and mill our seaweed according to traditional, low-intervention methods, and lovingly produce seaweed food products that make fabulous mealtime additions.
