About Wild + Co

Hi! I’m Liz Townley, owner of Wild + Co. I create custom candles from my studio in the mountains of central Idaho, inspired by the landscapes around us. Each candle is hand poured with a blend of natural soy wax and locally sourced bees wax. I blend unique fragrance profiles that evoke favorite memories spent in the wild. As a ceramicist, I’m no stranger to hard work and long hours in my studio- and I quickly discovered that candle-making offered a different kind of creativity. My full time career is working with the U.S. Forest Service, and I have 17 years of service managing public lands. I love my job and it is my passion to connect people to wild places. Recent political shifts that have defunded our public workforce has made it clear that I must secure a new future for myself and my family. I don’t write this to tokenize my story, but to share that launching Wild + Co is more than just a creative outlet- it’s given me my power back, and allows me to stay connected to the landscapes I love- sharing this passion with others in a new and meaningful way.
