About WowFuton

We are Mark and Luke, the founders of Wow Futon, born and raised in a Mediterranean town in Western Turkey. As children raised by wine grower families, we vividly recall seeking a cool spot to sleep in our vineyard cottage during scorching Mediterranean nights. The floor mattresses we slept on made of moisture absorbing, cool feeling of merino wool and pure cotton fabric would make us feel so cool. Since then, we never forget these gifts of nature that were at our disposal, giving us everything we need: health and comfort. We worked for almost two decades in the international bedding business and gained valuable experience and knowledge about sleep products. Our careers have given us the chance to learn and observe different sleep cultures from different regions. We met so many people with vast expertise and the ideas gathered during the years. The ideas grew during the pandemic and we joined the journey of seeking how we can contribute to community health. Natural fibers such as merino wool, alpaca wool, cotton, linen, silk, bamboo even camel hair were always our focus but the main question has always been how to bring these nature’s wonders together in a productive and affordable manner to ensure a comfortable and healthy sleep with every product we make. For this reason, two ex-colleagues Mark and Luke came together to found WoW Futon to offer others the good night’s sleep they deserve and enjoying nature’s wonder fibers. Read their story
