My name is Maria and eight years ago, I decided to turn my passion for ceramics into my way of life and create my Ceramics & co brand. The composition of this name has a meaning, not that of a society..., since I work alone as an independent spirit. The symbolism of my brand is ceramics with “company” or accompanied, rather...; Since I am very versatile in addition to ceramics I also like to paint with watercolors and ink, using the oriental technique of Sumi-e. I love it!. But all this partly changed when a few years ago I decided to embark on a course in ceramics applied to jewelry. From the first moment I realized that this was my world because it allowed me to develop all my artistic concern. In that course I got to know porcelain and a binomial emerged between the two that I tied myself to it forever. And today it is one of my main areas of work. For those of you who do not know porcelain, I will tell you that it is one of the most noble pastes in ceramics. Porcelain is white, compact, fragile, hard, translucent, waterproof and addictive... This noble lady (porcelain) was born in China about 206 BC. C. to 220 d. And its wonderful existence is due to these three components, Kaolin, Feldspar and Quartz. It has traditionally been used to make highly prized tableware components, but here in my world we break that rule. My union with porcelain mainly creates sculptural jewels, modeled with my hands, caress after caress...
