For the past 25 years I have devoted my life to the magic of glass and creating one of a kind art in fused dichroic glass. Dichroic glass has a special coating of rare earths which is fused on to it in a vacuum chamber with an electron beam. There is no more striking effect than dichroic coatings on glass. As an artist I always wish to express myself by designing and creating strikingly colored works of art in the very challenging medium of kiln fired glass. Each piece is cut, shaped, layered and fired multiple times to produce the 3 dimensional, multi color effects that can be seen in McCray Studios jewelry. I use Argentium Sterling Silver which is certified that Argentium is produced using only recycled silver and is therefore an ethically responsible choice, in terms of environmental impact. It is certified that Argentium is produced using only recycled silver. Glass fusing is my passion and I still get excited every time I open my kiln.Read their story
