Many, especially the seasonal cards, feature full-page illustrations with charming, narrative touches. A fall birthday card shows two hedgehogs roasting marshmallows by a vintage tent. Another captures a seaside scene: a woman in a beach chair with three seagulls perched on her sunhat to illustrate “birdbrain” for forgetting a birthday. A hydrangea-covered arbor frames two Adirondack chairs overlooking the ocean, quietly celebrating friendship. In addition to designing for national greeting card companies, Vicky has created numerous custom wedding invitations in recent years—work that inspired her newest floral collection.
