50 Watts publishes legendary Japanese picture books and offbeat illustrated books which can be found in interesting shops around the world. We opened in 2021 as an indie press and online bookstore with a focus on visually-striking and unusual books. In 2024 we opened a retail bookshop storefront in Chestnut Hill Philadelphia (please visit and say hello!).
