About Opyos Beverages

The Opyos team joined the world of distilling in the Fall of 2016. Our gin had started out as just a spontaneous idea amongst three friends at the bar, where else of course, and we had the feeling that we were onto something special. Our enthusiasm, innovative and creative ideas, along with the valuable insights from local industry experts, enabled us to craft a unique product full of character. Originating from the ‘Ernz Blanche’ valley, on the East of the Grand-Duchy of Luxembourg, Opyos Beverages is proud to be home in a rural region respected for its richness in old fruit varieties and its scenic orchards. The observation that the once traditional transformation processes of these fruit into high proof beverages are about to disappear, has led us three to an idea. The desire of reviving fading heritage by means of modern interpretation is the drive for our quotidian passionate work. It is our aspiration of utilizing local ingredients in order to endow our creations with their very particular Luxembourgish twist. Opyos’ unique taste is rooted in the subtly struck balance between native botanicals and ingredients typical to the spirit. The result is an exclusive product line with powerful flavours of local terroir, inspired by the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. Our products result from ingredients of the highest quality, characterised by a harmonious blend of local elements we hand-pick in our rural surroundings and intermix with classic ingredients to the spirits genre.Read their story
