About Balenti

At Balenti, we are passionate about baobab! We thought we needed to change the world, and after searching for where to start, we realized we needed to "let the baobab grow." Balenti means "valiant" in the Creole of Guinea-Bissau, a small country in West Africa. It is a tribute to the Bissau-Guinean people and especially to the Bissau-Guinean women who strive to build the country. The initiative of Balenti is Binta, a German-Bissau-Guinean. She grew up in Bissau fueled by baobab sorbet and nourished by her activism within an environmental NGO. Our products are healthy, delicious, and boosted with baobab fruit powder.
