About burgenwein

BURGENWEIN stands for a small winery with which I started in 2015 as a career changer. It all began with 1 ha, all in steep slopes. Today I work on double the area with my Riesling and Pinot grapes. As far as possible, of course... I've been working completely organic for three years. The two grape varieties are so diverse that I - remaining curious - explore and invent new things every year. All by hand until harvesting, in which each grape goes through many hands until the grape juice is allowed to ferment in barrels or in stainless steel tanks. Long maceration periods, gentle appointments and long maturation periods in barrels (“sur lie”) bring out unique wines. Read their story
