About Áwet New York

An Eritrean tailor who lived 30 years of his life in war, gifted his son the name Áwet, which means victory in Tigrinya, when his country gained independence. In 1998, Áwet became a refugee eventually being granted asylum to the US, kicking off his American Dream. His father advised him to lookout for "people with greatness in their hands" with that in mind we launched a luxury lifestyle brand with community, craftsmanship & transparency at the core, We started in New York City in 2020 during the pandemic with people in mind. We found out what its takes to make the world's best hoodie & joggers around then found the best folks to craft it. Genderless & timeless, created for everyone.
