About Abéñula

The Nicolich Laboratories were created around 1923. Years later, in 1928, Dr. Miguel de Mérida Nicolich, an ophthalmologist, registered the commercial name “Abéñula”, a synonym of eyelash, and patented in the health agency of that time the pharmaceutical specialty formula called “Oftalmer Nicolich Abéñula Blue Ointment”. After patenting this formula and a lot of research, the other colors were manufactured throughout the history of these laboratories. Since then, this family business has produced numerous specialties, although with a special dedication to its flagship product, “Abéñula”, whose fame crossed our borders, and managed to gain the company the trust of users and ophthalmologists, achieving a prestige that we are proud of today.
