My love for being tan is how I got started in creating what I believe to be the very best self-tanning solution on the market. Plato said, "Necessity is the mother of invention." This couldn’t have been truer in my case. Working in the traditional tanning salon industry for 10 years, my salon offered many different sunless options, including airbrush tanning, and they all fell short. That began my quest for the truly "perfect" tan. Great color, ease of application, quick drying, no obnoxious smell, and affordable. The at-home perfect tan! Fifteen years ago, I (unknowingly) began developing what is now destined to become the superior sunless tanning product. I was complimented year-round on my "homemade tan", but never shared my concoction. I finally conceded to make a batch for a couple friends, who quickly told their friends. I sold them all in a single day! This made me think, "Maybe I have something here that has market demand," and Moonlit Mermaid was born. Moonlit Mermaid is a brand that goes beyond beauty.
