About Pistachio Playground

Pistachio Playground is a design studio where design = play. We believe the best ideas come when you’re having fun. We care deeply about every step of the design & manufacturing process, seeing each product as an opportunity to bless the one who receives it. Pistachio (Esther Chan) began her design adventures in commercial furniture, she lead a team of industrial designers to create bespoke pieces for the headquarters of global brands. Some of her favorite projects resides at Facebook HQ, Google Irvine, and Nike Beaverton HQ etc. In 2016, she established her own design studio - Pistachio Playground. Taking on various commissioned projects, such as personal branding, graphics, to residential & commercial design. Her leisure house plant hobby eventually inspired Pistachio Playground's first namesake trellis collection, which supplied to retail stores around the world. Around the same time, Pistachio found her way back to her childhood dream - fashion. She has since designed collections for Young Contemporary and Kids Girls brands in Los Angeles, playing a key role in driving multi-year revenue growth through cohesive collections, elevated fits, and storytelling that resonates. That story continues with Pistache — French for pistachio — our first in-house apparel line.
