For as long as I can remember candles were a favorite of mine. As a kid I’d take an old soup can, fill it with whatever wax scraps we had from other candles, and melt it in a pot of water. Then forming a candle using whatever jar we had lying around. As I got older, I was the person who had a stash of candles for every holiday or season. Cue 2020: pandemic hits, I was stir crazy and bored of the same fragrances. So, I grabbed a double boiler, wax and a little guessing to create my own candle. I was hooked. And then friends were hooked. And then family was hooked. Thanks to some encouragement from a few friends, I decided to share the candles with the world. A few months later, Wood Candle Co was born. Today, my home office has been transformed into a studio where the creativity comes to life; with the help of a podcast or two! Each candle or wax melt is poured by myself, just outside of Madison, WI, and I can’t wait for you to experience them. -Tyler, owner @ Wood Candle Co
