I didn’t start my business just to make a living—I started it because I know what it’s like to struggle, to feel stuck, and to wonder if I’d ever get ahead. Balancing work, school, and raising kids wasn’t easy, and imposter syndrome followed me every step of the way. Even after earning degrees and gaining experience in both private and public sectors, I still questioned whether I was doing enough or even belonged in the rooms I worked so hard to enter. I realized I wasn’t alone—so many women and moms were in the same boat. They had the skills and experience but lacked the tools to market themselves or navigate the job search. I’d spent years writing job descriptions, serving on hiring committees, and leading teams—I knew what employers were looking for and how to help others get noticed. That’s why I launched my career coaching and resume writing business—to help people own their value and chase the opportunities they deserve. But my journey didn’t stop there. I rely on planning and organization to manage life’s chaos, so I created a productivity shop to help others stay on track—with notebooks, planners, and mental health check-ins. And because we all need time to pause and recharge, I started Luminate365, my handmade candle brand. These aren’t just candles—they’re reminders to breathe, reset, and create calm.
