About Ruby Sera

It all began with a love of travel and the art of different cultures. I first dabbled in importing in the summer of 2012 on a trip to Bali with my partner. I brought back silver jewelry, tapestries and some clothing. Everything sold very quickly but the clothing sold out in a couple of weeks. In no time I had a wait list of customers wanting more styles and colors. I had planned to hop on a plane and go back right away but as life would have it, I had my son shortly after and the Bali imports would have to be on hold for a moment. I went back in 2015 on my own. I had never traveled to another country by myself it was such a powerful experience and I learned so much about who I was and where I wanted this journey to lead me. I ordered so much I had to send many large boxes by boat, not the suitcase size order I had in 2012. It all started with wrapped bundles of clothing in my hotel and knowing this was just the beginning of this journey. The travels continue, the collection grows, and the Ruby Sera adventure just keeps getting better. We now import from Bali, Thailand and India with new designs and styles to be introduced later this year. Ruby Sera is committed to eco-friendly business practices which is why we create slow fashion products that are built to last.
