SOFRO is an acronym for Soaps From Reclaimed Cooking Oil. SOFRO soaps are cold process soaps made using coconut, olive, castor, and organic palm oils; in addition to reclaimed oil from fryers. Yes, you read that right! The same oil your fries were cooked in. Using the same cleaning technology as Biodiesel; the oil is squeaky-clean before becoming soap. So rest assure, you'll never find a French fry in your soap. Our soap has a direct impact on the environment by preventing cooking oil ending up in our waterways affecting aquatic life. Surprinsingly it is real nice to your skin as well! At SOFRO Soaps, we use compostable "plastic" wrap [made out of corn] and recycled paper in our packaging to minimize the impact on the environment.
