Our co-founder Michael's love affair with food began at a Washington D.C. sushi counter and blossomed through international adventures and cultural exploration. In his 20s, Michael spent six transformative years in Japan, all the while Michael's dedication to culinary excellence remained steadfast. After returning to the US. Michael met Shinji, whose childhood connection to konjac products in Japan aligned perfectly with Michael's vision for snacks that are both delicious and nourishing. Konjac, a lesser-known superfood ingredient in the US, stood out as a brilliant gelatin substitute, and served as inspiration for their first snack idea - jelly treats that would appeal to both health conscious individuals and picky eaters.
