About Home State Made

Welcome to Home State Made. I started this company after a request from my husband for a North Carolina Patch Hat. I found some Vintage Veg. tanned leather and began to create. I have always had a passion for anything artistic even going to college for Art. My love for leatherwork quickly grew and I was Inspired to provide women and men with products as unique as them. So I began to develop different bag sizes and styles with all kinds of leather. I found beauty in imperfections. Most people disregard the leather that we love because it is not perfect. At Home State Made we strive to use every single part of a hide with as little waste as possible. Each and every one of our bags is hand-cut and riveted and put together in Sanford North Carolina. Almost all our leathers come from US tanneries and we strive to use every bit of the hide. All our bags have a Southern Charm - Northern Attitude and we love to see where our bags end up.
