About Shinsei Cosmetics ; Shinsei BioCare

My name is Lucy, I live in Toronto, Canada and have a MSc in Food Science and people keep asking me, why did you decide to go into the cosmetics business if you have been running your own food flavor company for many years? This question cannot be answered simply. I will try to explain why. About 15 years ago I started the cosmetic business as my favorite hobby. I have sensitive skin and some of the ingredients in cosmetics are completely unsuitable for me. And yet, skin is getting old too. Being educated in food science and technology with many years of hands-on experience as a flavorist in the food and beverage industry in Canada, I decided to focus my knowledge and experience on improving my skin quality and literally “save my face”. I applied the philosophy, "If you can eat this, you can put it on your face." It was not difficult for me; I have sufficient knowledge in the field of nutrition and functionality of food ingredients and creating flavor emulsions for beverages. My first try was Shinsei Nourishing Face Cream ™ I took the risk of researching and developing a real nourishing face cream that would help my skin to be moisturized without chemical fillers that would prevent the cream from working on my face. Shinsei Nourishing Face Cream ™ is my first creation. The active ingredients of the cream quickly penetrate deep into the skin, allowing it to become supple and soft to the touch.
