My designs are inspired by my love for the living world, rooted in the landscape of the Southeast United States where I was born and raised—and live still. Each piece represents a place-memory: eating wild blackberries from the vine, stargazing from the shore of my favorite island, discovering a hidden mountain meadow full of flowers. After ten years painting large-scale murals, I shifted my art practice from public spaces to a more private one: the home. In 2020, I began designing textiles to lend both softness and vitality to beloved spaces. I now work with a small, family-owned mill here in the US to create heirloom-quality knitted blankets made from 100% recycled cotton and post-consumer materials.
