Since Orquídea was founded in 1950, we have followed a creation process that prioritises craftsmanship, attention to detail and timelessness. Since our humble beginnings, the founder of this family owned business, D. Juan Maria Forgas, developed an innovative process that reproduces cultured pearls by hand, one by one; creating The Organic Pearl. Firstly, we create the nucleus of our pearls with molten opaline and then immerse them 34 times in a bath of natural pigments and special lacquers. This is the secret to Orquídea's pearls lasting forever. Once the pearls are created, our craftsmen carefully examine each and every one in order not to miss any imperfections. Then, they are subjected to a rapid aging chamber to guarantee their timelessness and durability, as we want all our jewels to be admired for their quality, beauty and lasting the tests of time. The final step in our process is combining our Organic pearls with noble metals and precious stones, creating unique jewels, made one by one and beautifully crafted by our local artisans.
