About Flora on the Menorah

Flora on the Menorah is a fun holiday toy and story everyone will love. Follow Flora on her journey, move her in a different location for each of the 8 nights during Hanukkah. The plush Menorah makes it safe for the little children that want to light the Menorah and celebrate the traditions. Flora was created by Fern Shamis who works at Brandeis University in the Office of Technology Licensing as a program coordinator. Previously she was administrative director at the Lesson One Foundation, a non-profit organization, providing social-emotional consultation to schools locally and nationally. While at Lesson One, she co-authored the PeaceZone, a peacemaking curriculum published by Research Press. Fern has a Bachelor's degree in Education from University of Rhode Island and a Master's in Education Administration from Lesley University. She currently lives in Framingham, MA with her husband Fran and son Jack.Read their story
