About Martha Johnson Art (formerly Four Sisters Studio)

Martha Johnson Art (Four Sisters Studio) is a woman-owned and operated business in Black Mountain, NC. I'm a former nurse, and mixed-media collage artist. I use recycled/repurposed materials in my original collages as much as possible. I'm grateful for my current lifestyle of working in my home studio with my dog as my assistant. I can usually be found there, except when I sneak off to spend time in my garden or hike with friends. I turn my original handmade collages into greeting cards, with the help of a local printing company. I strive to use environmentally friendly and recycled materials. I aim to encourage the heartfelt connection of the handwritten note, and many of my cards are purchased for framing.Read their story
