Our story We are three housewives who have known each other for several years. We are both business and nature enthusiasts, and we were looking for the perfect way to combine the two. We wanted to start a business that reflected our values, such as loving and caring for nature and creating one-of-a-kind products. Following extensive research, our Mediterranean roots proved to be the ideal combination for bringing our vision to life. We started with the olive wood because these areas are famous for their olive trees. Olive wood is wood harvested from the olive trees Olea Europaea and O. Capensis, which are native to the southern and eastern Mediterranean countries of Europe and Eastern Africa. Since Mediterranean culture values and respects nature, trees are never cut down for their wood. As a result, all olive wood is restricted to tree clippings, branches, and trees destroyed by storms or disease, as well as when an olive tree has finished fruiting for hundreds of years or more. This is what makes olive wood a rare (and thus expensive) material. Many first-time olive wood buyers are drawn to it because of its rich blend of caramel tones rippled with dark brown grain, but it is much more than that.
