About KEY

Hi, we are Karishma & Tekla, co-founders of KEY. We are constantly trying to bring our full best self to every moment whether it be work or social, yet we felt exhausted even after the second cup. We tried matcha, adaptogens and nootropics – one of us even moved to the tropics. Energy Drinks were never appealing to us with the long list of scary ingredients and the “up & down” sugar shocks or caffeine jitters. We wanted a long-lasting smooth energy ride to tap into our full potential. Enter ketones, an alternative to sugars for fuel. They really work but tasted baaaaaaaad, were super expensive and only accessible to the elite. We spent two years mixing up ketones and natural ingredients, with Tekla’s science background and Karishma’s fermentation experience to launch a drink that has both function and flavor.
