About Outsider Artshop

Outsider Artshop is a Santa Cruz woman owned small business. The owner Shannon Glasheen is inspired by elements found in nature such as plants, gemstones and minerals. She is a life long learner and crafter, always learning new skills. She recently became a mother for the first time and spent her maternity leave learning stained glass and wire wrapping techniques which she uses to present her nature inspired jewelry. She previously created sculptures out of bicycle parts, as an avid bicyclist and enthusiast. Her educational background includes two degrees in fashion with a focused interest in using eco-friendly or recycled textiles whenever possible. Before becoming a mother, she owned a sewing studio in San Francisco where she taught sewing classes to kiddos and adults.Read their story
