About ElJay Pretzels

Bob Browner created the recipe for our pretzels when trying to replicate a childhood memory, and they became our contribution to our neighborhood parties. That was, of course, until we were challenged to market and sell them. And so it began…first in our Church kitchen, then 5 years later in our own kitchen! We have never swayed from our simple recipe of only 5 ingredients, until now... adding just the right extra seasoning and EVOO to our delicious VON Pretzel Chips. Where does the name VON come from, you ask? A very special Angel was put into our lives when we first started our kitchen in Pawleys Island. She helped us care for Caryl’s mom in our home, which allowed us to work so hard at building ElJay Pretzels. Though Eppie is no longer with us we are forever grateful to VON!! We know so many are going through this season, as well. That is why ElJay Pretzels will donate a % of net profits for each case sold on Faire.com to the Alzheimer's Foundation of America (AFA), which seeks to provide resources to dementia caregivers, including family education, free memory screening services, dementia care training for professionals, and support groups nationwide.
