Bailao & Co. is an ancestral luxury house rooted in Fulani, Arabic, and North-West African traditions, expressed through Nordic clarity and modern ritual design. Every candle is hand-poured in Denmark from pure Danish beeswax and coconut wax — a denser, slower-burning blend that most candle makers don't use, because it asks for patience most aren't willing to give. Each fragrance rests for 8–14 days before it ever meets the wax. Every candle cures for a further 7 days before it's labelled. Nothing ships same-day. That's intentional. Founded by Mouna Kesso Skoubølling Jacobsen and named for her grandmother — a woman of quiet strength and deep grace — Bailao & Co. carries a mission alongside its craft: 20% of profits support women-led initiatives across Africa, with 15% sustaining The Ol'New, a long-term vision beginning in Mouna's maternal region of Labé, Guinea.
