About Henny and Joe's Chai

"Having worked in the hospitality industry for around fifteen years, I have been fortunate to work with many local restaurants and cafés — the majority of whom serve Masala Chai in some form. From my experience, these establishments had in place a rather lengthy process for the preparation of their Masala Chai, and what’s more, it contained needless artificial additives. Most importantly, I believe that the products they used lacked depth of flavour and quality. After experimenting with many different blends and ratios of spices, I perfected the Henny & Joe’s signature Masala Chai recipe. I started taking the product from place to place, and was bowled over by the positive feedback from both baristas and customers. Inspired by the popular demand, 2013 saw me launch my company, based in my hometown of Bath, UK. But what to call it? Well, naturally after my favourite things in the whole world... my two sons, Henry and Joseph." Ash Bailey, Founder Read their story
