Seaweed has always been used for many different purposes - one of them being as food for both animals and humans. It is especially in Asia that seaweed has retained its status as a daily food for humans. For some reason, not much seaweed is eaten in the Western world. But it is also a fact that the Western diet contains too much saturated fat and too little unsaturated fat. This leads to lifestyle diseases and other ailments.
